inspired by so many others i wanted to begin a personal photo project in 2012. my project is twofold…

one- take a portrait of bree every single week

it shouldn’t be hard, right?!

new years in black and white

i am a total nerd. for real.  i was SO excited for this new years eve as it would be the first new years in forever that i would be at home! not just at home, but at home with my two favourite people! we just hung out and relaxed and it was awesome. bree got dressed up in some fancy new years eve attire and i took pictures of her all evening long! she is such a stinker and had a blast watching the “pegins” on happy feet and then dancing in her diaper to our new favourite song (call your girlfriend by robyn). oh, such a great night! i hope you all had an amazing night as well.

happy new years from bree…

2011 wedding review

a small sampling of some of my favourite images from weddings in 2011. it is simple things about these images i love so much- the emotion they display and the story they tell. i read this quote yesterday and it rang so true for how i try to shoot and what i strive to provide my clients…

“To all photographers: remember WHY you do what you do and the priceless value that you provide to others. We’re not providing images. We’re helping to create the way someone remembers their life – the catalyst to treasured memories of a life well-lived – as well as self-discovery, self-expression, an experience, and most of all: emotion.” - christa meola

a huge THANK YOU to all of my supporters, blog readers, and clients. you made 2011 totally awesome! i wish you and your loved ones an amazing 2012. i am looking SO  forward to another awesome year of photography!

and, hey! don’t worry. i love a standard portrait just as much as the next person… here are a couple faves from the year you may have missed…
