you will recognize jenn and mike from their engagement session earlier this summer. donna (jenn’s super wonderful mom) and i have been planning this family shoot for over a year now (we had one planned for last year at around this time and then weather and my being sick had us postpone until this year)! after lots of planning it all came together and i am really happy with the results!
i don’t usually do slideshows for portrait sessions but it was a special request, and because i love this family so much, i just had to. donna even requested the song. goodness, i am such a sap. after downloading the song and listening to it (on repeat while i worked) i was actually so teary. country (and especially mr. jackson) does it to me everytime. my favourite line…
” Remember when thirty seemed so old, Now lookn’ back it’s just a steppin’ stone, To where we are, Where we’ve been, Said we’d do it all again…Remember when” -Alan Jackson
okay, enough of my rambling- click here for more images and enjoy a couple of my faves below!
gosh, i love these first two so much!
this one would be on my wall, really huge, for sure ;-)
isn’t that hair so wonderful?!
the men of the family think they are posing for an album cover. i think they look pretty darn great!
often times, it is the in between poses shots i love the most!
i really love shooting (how do i say this politically correct?) mature love! i hope i get to do more sessions with mature couples. there is something really special about capturing the love between a couple who has been together for so long! these two are such awesome parents and grandparents. thank you for a great afternoon guys! can’t wait to see what you decide to do with the images.
